On this CD the intimate duo of Dr. Zawose and his nephew Charles Zawose brings us old traditional songs from pre-colonial times alongside social commentaries composed just days before recording. The musical traditions of the Wagogo people of Tanzania are so rich and Dr. Hukwe Zawose’s genius so creative that each recording this master musician makes introduces world-wide audiences to new songs and styles never heard before on CD.
